  • Donald Greg Pitts

    Founder | Rehabilitation Director

    Greg Pitts is the founder and owner of Commonwealth Hand & Physical Therapy. He received his first degree, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, from Eastern Kentucky University in 1986. After graduation, Greg was commissioned an Officer in the U.S. Army where he served four years of active duty. From 1990 to 1996, Greg continued his military service as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve. Greg received his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from EKU in 1992 and immediately began practice in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Here he received extensive mentorship and training in hand therapy, ergonomics, and industrial rehabilitation. In 1995, Greg became the Clinical Director for On-Site Rehabilitation for Toyota Motor Manufacturing. In 1996, Greg accepted a position as the Director of Occupational Therapy for Dr. Ralph Herms, a well-known hand surgeon. He worked closely with many renowned hand and orthopedic surgeons and in 1997 became a Certified Hand Therapist. He went on to become the Hand Program Coordinator for Easter Seals Kentucky. During this time, Greg also served on the graduate faculty of EKU. He became a well-known lecturer in the areas of hand therapy, industrial rehabilitation, and ergonomics. He has authored/co-authored numerous book chapters and research articles which have been published in prestigious medical journals. In 2002, Greg reached another career goal when he opened Kentucky Hand & Physical Therapy in a small 700-square-foot basement office. The company quickly grew in size and reputation. KHPT included 5 stand-alone clinics and 2 satellite clinics and was a recognized leader in the performance of innovative and results-oriented rehabilitation in Central Kentucky. Greg is the current owner of four Commonwealth Hand & Physical Therapy private practices located in Lexington, Georgetown, and Berea Kentucky. The clinics focus on state-of-the-art care for traumatic hand injuries, cumulative trauma disorders, and total body pathologies that inhibit occupational Performance. Commonwealth Hand & Physical Therapy is a Regional Rehabilitation Center for Central and Eastern Kentucky. The clinic also provides training for up to 25 interns per year and active research with the University of Kentucky, Spalding University, and Eastern Kentucky University. AWARDS AND RECOGNITION Greg has received numerous awards and recognitions in his professional life, including Kentucky Outstanding Occupational Therapist of the Year for 1995-1996. Outstanding Alumnus EKU Occupational Therapy 2002, and Member of the Riordan Hand Society 2006. He has served as President of the Kentucky Occupational Therapy Association and American Hand Therapy Foundation Board of Directors.   • Kyle Mullins

    Occupational Therapy

    Kyle has been at Commonwealth Hand & PT since its opening in 2016. He earned a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University in 2014. Since that time, Kyle has worked exclusively in hand therapy, developing extensive knowledge and skills in a wide range of upper extremity conditions. He earned his Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation in 2018. In 2022, he completed his Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at Spalding University. He is also certified in the use of Deep Physical Agent Modalities and has a DPAM supervisor designation. Kyle uses a variety of splinting and treatment techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients. He feels privileged to work with such a talented group of therapists. Outside the clinic, Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife and family, working on home projects, and following/attending Kentucky basketball and football.

  • Anne Chambers

    Occupational Therapist | Certified Hand Therapist

    Anne is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist from Russellville, Kentucky. Anne received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Louisville in 2011 where she graduated Cum Laude and was also a member of the University of Louisville swim team from 2007-2011. She then earned her Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University in 2014, at which time she began working in outpatient hand therapy. Anne received her board certification in 2017 from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission. In 2022 she finished her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Spalding University. Her clinical interests include custom splinting, orthopedic injuries and conditions of the upper extremity, and post-surgical rehabilitation.

  • Ryan Foister

    Occupational Therapy

    Ryan is a 2002 Occupational Therapy graduate from Eastern Kentucky University. He has worked primarily in the arena of hand and upper extremity rehabilitation with traumatic and cumulative trauma cases for 16 years and a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) for 11 years. Ryan has focused particularly in industrial rehabilitative services and is currently the lead hand therapist on site at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky (TMMK) acute care clinic, with clinical focus and training in the realm of Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs), ergonomic evaluations, post offer/pre-employment testing, job analyses and preventative programs.

  • Hillary Klingel

    Occupational Therapy

    Hillary is a 2017 Occupational Therapy graduate from Eastern Kentucky University. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Occupational Science and a Master's in Occupational Therapy. She is originally from Waldo, Ohio, but moved to Lexington to pursue a career in hand therapy rehabilitation. She obtained her board certification as a Certified Hand Therapist in 2021 and her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy in 2022 from Spalding University. Her clinical interests include orthotic fabrication, cumulative trauma rehabilitation, and Peripheral Nerve injuries. Hillary enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, playing sports, and watching movies. Hillary chose to enter the field of Occupational Therapy because she enjoys helping people restore their independence, confidence, and quality of life.

  • Luke Nolte

    Hand Therapist

    Luke grew up in Goshen, Kentucky prior to moving to Lexington to attend the University of Kentucky from 2011-2015. Luke studied Special Education for Moderate and Severe Disorders during his undergraduate academic years. Following this experience, he attended Eastern Kentucky University earning his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2018. Since graduating, Luke began his career path at Commonwealth Hand and Physical Therapy and obtained his hand therapy certification in 2021. In addition to this accomplishment, he has been active in the opening of two clinic branches within the company. Luke is currently the clinical manager at the Hamburg location. Luke’s clinical interests include fabricating orthotics, mentoring graduate students and new therapists, and assisting a wide variety of individuals reach their therapy goals. Outside of work, Luke enjoys playing golf and volleyball, waking up early to watch English Premier League soccer and cheering on the Cats.

  • Madison Cook

    Hand Therapist

    Madison was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Exercise Science. She graduated from Spalding University with her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in August of 2018. Madison has practiced Occupational Therapy at Commonwealth Hand Therapy, Since October 2018. She earned the title of Certified Hand Therapist in December of 2021. Madison is committed to collaborating with clients to reach their full potential through activity analysis, creating custom-made orthotics to improve function or correct issues impairing function such as muscle and tissue tightness or joint stiffness. Madison has a special clinical interest in treating distal radius fractures because she enjoys the problem solving required to return function. Outside of the clinic Madison enjoys spending time with her Siberian Huskies, fishing, kayaking, lifting weights, and boxing.
